Mending Broken Wings A Donation-Based Christian Ministry Preamble We, the undersigned, establish these Articles of Faith as the doctrinal foundation of Mending Broken Wings, a Christ-centered ministry committed to restoration, truth, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are the bedrock upon which our coaching, teaching, preaching, and outreach operate.
1. The Scriptures We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2. God We believe in one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 6:4)
3. Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and second coming. (John 1:1-14, Colossians 1:15-20)
4. Salvation We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10)
5. Holy Spirit We believe in the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for sanctification, guidance, and ministry. (Acts 1:8, John 14:26)
6. Identity in Christ. We believe each individual’s identity is found in Christ alone, not in sexuality, gender expression, trauma, or worldly definitions. In Christ, all are made new. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20)
7. Sanctity of Life and Biblical Morality We affirm the sanctity of life and uphold biblical standards of morality, including marriage between one man and one woman, and the call to sexual purity. (Genesis 2:24, Romans 1:26-27)
8. Great Commission We believe in evangelism and discipleship as commanded by Christ, to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. (Matthew 28:19-20)
9. Spiritual Restoration We believe Jesus restores the broken and heals the wounded. We stand for the spiritually abused, the abandoned, and the misidentified, guiding them to their true identity in Christ. (Isaiah 61:1-3)
